In 2001, the Martin family opened the doors to Montezuma Winery in Seneca Falls. Previously beekeepers, they started out crafting an assortment of honey wines and even fruit wines. As they started to grow, they began adding grape wines to their portfolio and brought Head Winemaker, Phil Plummer, on board. Today, Montezuma continues its roots of experimental winemaking and produces an array of wines from traditional mead to skin-fermented Traminette to a reserve Riesling
